Flag TSEs Inside NuTrace

In some patients undergoing neurosurgery, a CJD diagnosis that is not suspected before the procedure may be confirmed during or after neurosurgery.
When these kind of events occur it triggers a complex situation inside the OR and many times SPD may or may not be aware of that situation.
In the OR it is extremely easy to flag the instruments inside NuTrace.
With a two step verification process and the login of the person flagging this instruments, just scanning the tray; NuTrace will ask for reconfirmation of the reason for triggering. Once instruments are flagged inside NuTrace, it will automatically remove those from the supply chain. The hospital's protocols will be followed by the SPD team which, in most cases, will conclude in the destruction of the instruments or the special reprocessing recommendation from the WHO (World Health Organization). If reprocessing is done, administrative personnel must re-enable the set into the supply chain after all processes and reports have been added inside NuTrace. If destruction is elected, the set will be permanently disabled inside NuTrace. Why keep it and not remove it? All history built during the life span of the set must be available for the team for the years to come.
